Find Your Nursing Bra Size

It’s always a joyful experience for a mother to give birth to a child. The rewards are priceless, and motherhood is just one of those moments that can’t be put into words.

When moms go through the nursing period, it’s always important to wear a nursing bra because it provides convenience and support. A nursing bra eases the entire nursing process, and it gives less strain and more comfort to moms. If you’re buying a nursing bra for the first time, here are the steps to find out your nursing bra size.

Your cup can increase a size or two after you give birth. Make sure you buy a nursing bra that is 2 sizes bigger after pregnancy. Your bra should be able to be hooked in the middle, and that your breasts are covered fully. There should be no bulge, and if there is, go a band size higher.

Nursing bras are truly an important part of your motherhood wardrobe as you welcome your new baby!

Bra Innovation Seen To Be A Hit

A bra innovation is seen to be a hit especially among companies that manufacture, produce or create intimate apparel.

Founders of the Internal Support Structure (ISS) by Galway-based Embrace Design Innovations says that this so-called bra innovation will soon be a hit among those that produce underwear. The ISS offers support in movement for all intimate apparel, including lingerie, nightwear, swimwear, shapewear, sportswear and maternity and nursing wear.

“I have developed a concept which offers breast support and uncompromised fit in movement across all intimate apparel,” says Embrace creative director Reenagh McCall.

“The ISS addresses fit issues such as falling straps, wire displacement through downward garment drag or upward garment lift in slips, bodysuits, camisoles, and open-cup breast support in nursing garments. It also addresses breast bounce and shape in sportswear.”

McCall’s mother was apparently the inspiration of it all.

“She was a bit of a latent genius and inventor in her own right. About 20 years ago, she came up with the idea of a soft piece of material to anchor a body suit. I came back to this a couple of years ago and developed the ISS, which is an extra piece of material with sits under the bra or body suit and stabilises the garment on the body.”

According to McCall, the concept is simple and inexpensive. It centres on the vertical and horizontal movement of the body as two separate axes. When the two axes pull against each other the garment moves. The ISS is hinged at three points thereby allowing greater freedom of movement in both directions without imposing directional pull or drag.

3. Pregnancy Lingerie Wear – acquiring a set of bikini underwear is the spot on thing to do. The size can be adjusted or resized and worn even after baby delivery. Comfortable granny underwear is also a good choice.

While selecting bras, you can go for stretchable sports bras and then buy a maternity bra for the convenience of nursing the baby. You should shop early to get familiar to these maternity apparels.

4. Pregnancy Footwear – It has been widely known that flat or just low heeled shoes is all the time better as it will maintain the body balance. Slippers, sandals, and slip shoes are known to provide the comfortable feel, it is simple as well as trendy.

5. Pregnancy Party Wear – Wearing dark colours does make you look thinner. Blacks and browns will reasonably hide the baby bump. Stockings that are thigh high will make the legs long slender and neat.
